and sometimes they come quietly, on soft paws, wrapped in lilac fur and gentle curiosity.


This blog began the moment Poppy — our tiny Holland Lop doe — hopped into our lives.

I didn’t know it then, but that first cuddle, that first hesitant sniff, that first delicate heartbeat pressed against my hand…

it shifted something in me.


It softened everything.


And now, with this space, I want to share that softness with you.

Why This Blog Exists


When Poppy came home, I fell deep into the world of bunny care — the true world of rabbit husbandry:

the kind that’s gentle, ethical, informed, and rooted in respect.


Not the outdated myths.

Not the pet store misinformation.

Just real, compassionate care.


But I also wanted a place where rabbit education didn’t feel stressful or overwhelming.

Meet Poppy



Poppy is our lilac Holland Lop, born August 18, 2025 at CuddleBuns_UT.

She’s tiny, sweet, and unbelievably soft — a little blossom with floppy ears and a personality full of quiet magic.


She loves:

  • cozy fleece

  • her little lamb toy

  • gentle morning munches

  • exploring slowly at her own pace

  • and looking impossibly cute while doing absolutely nothing


She’s curious without being bold, snuggly without being demanding, and so gentle it feels healing just to sit with her.

There are days when life feels heavy. Really heavy. Vet bills piling up, sick critters needing constant care, financial stress, emotional burnout, and a thousand little unknowns weighing on my chest. It feels like there’s always another emergency, another worry, another “what now?” waiting around the corner. And then there’s Poppy. My soft, quiet, steady little healer.
